Open Road: Supporting Businesses & Communities

We’re delighted to welcome Open Road to this year’s Festival of Business, not only as our nominated charity but also our charity of the year!

As a leading Essex based charity, Open Road plays a vital role in supporting people affected by drug and alcohol misuse - and they work closely with businesses across the region to promote healthier, safer workplaces.

Open Road partners with employers to deliver services that make a real difference to staff wellbeing and productivity. From workplace training on substance misuse awareness, to supporting HR teams with guidance and intervention strategies, Open Road helps businesses develop supportive, resilient cultures where employees can thrive.

At the Festival of Business, Open Road will be exhibiting outside with one of their SOS Buses - a mobile outreach unit that plays a key role in their community and corporate engagement work. The SOS Bus supports vulnerable individuals in town centres and at events, but it’s also used to demonstrate to employers how proactive, on-the-ground support can change lives.

Come and meet the Open Road team to:

  • Learn how they work with employers to manage drug and alcohol-related issues in the workplace
  • Find out about bespoke training and awareness sessions for staff
  • Explore partnership opportunities that support CSR, staff wellbeing, and community engagement
  • Step aboard the SOS Bus and see how mobile outreach is making a difference across Essex

Whether you’re an SME or a large employer, Open Road can offer insight and support to help your business build a safe and supportive work environment.
